Austin Film Festival 2nd Rounder

My ‘MINDHUNTER’ spec episode ‘OPTICS’ was awarded 2nd Rounder status at Austin Film Festival in the Drama Teleplay Spec category.

The episode focuses on ratcheting tensions between the black community and police in the Atlanta Child Murders case, leading to a what the locals see as a neighborhood watch and the police see as a vigilante gang. While still trying to oversee the case from afar, the Behavioral Sciences Unit interviews Patrick Kearney - “The Trashbag KIller” - when they uncover another potential thread in catching the Atlanta Monster.
